They lived at 73 Tverskaya Street in quarter 135, Dvinsk, Latvia. Gutman was a cabinet maker and glazier. His wife was born in the Vilkomir district (now Ukmerge, Lithuania). Dates of birth vary depending on source and census.

Hyman Ospovat (1869 - 1948) m Fanny Ichlov (1871 - 1955)
Hyman arrived in Cape Town in 1900 and lived at 155 Caledon Street. He became a naturalized South African citizen in 1904. He started a furniture manufacturing company;
H. Ospovat and Son. Trade name was "Duros". Told that it was derived from DURable + OSpovat. Started initially on Chapel Street in CT and then in 1935 moved into a new building at 119 Roeland Street. A fire in 1940 necessitated reconstruction at the same site.

Jacob Ospovat (1879 - 1953) m Bodushka (1891 - 1963). Jacob was not Hyman/Haim's brother, but a cousin. He was the son of Meyer Elye Ospovat (not the same person as Elia Meyer Ichlov - above) and his second wife, Zelda. Jacob was a singer who was also in the dairy business

Florence Ospovat m Mr Elion and had 2 children: Farrell Elion and Leila (Elion) Green. Florence was a concert pianist and had her own music school.
Miriam/Ginger Ospovat (d1943) m Albert Muller and had a daughter Faith Muller (b1940). Miriam died when Faith was 3 years old. Faith married Philip Aronowitz and had 3 daughters (Mandy, Leone and Davina). Faith passed away in 2021.

If you made use of Christine Usdin's research into the 1897 census, you will find a listing on Part 20, Page 2 (http://usdine.free.fr/dvinskscensusninetytverskayaparttwentypagetwo.html) showing the occupants of Tverskaya St. House of Gershen Ospovat. Apt 1.
The third person listed is Freida-Rivka Ichlov, born Ospovat. She is listed as Gershen's 33-year-old daughter.
Four Ichlov children are listed: Beila-Rokha (15-F), Elya-Khaim (7-M), Meier (6-F), and Nakhman (2-M). The father of all four is listed as Nakhman.
On the 1897 census page on JewishGen for the same address, Freide-Rivka is listed under her maiden name with the note "Widow of Nachman". This would explain why he has no census listing. Based on what I found on the Ospovat-Ichlove-Beck web site, the 1875 census had a listing for Nachman Ichlov, age 14. It isn't clear who he is the son of, so I'm not prepared to go down that trail. Rather, I want to focus on Elya-Khaim.
Based on his age at the census, Elya-Khaim would have been born in 1889 or 1890, depending on when the record was taken.
I recently uncovered my great-grandfather Hyman Echlov's marriage license from Massachusetts. He lists his parents as Nachman Echlov and Freide Ospivat. The marriage date is 1/11/1909, and he gives his age as 20. I will be happy to send you the image if you want.
My own family data ( shows Hyman had two sisters, Beila and Mary. We know there was another brother, and when the other siblings left for the U.S. he went to South Africa. When Hyman was dying in the 1950s, the family hired a PI to try and find the brother, but he was unsuccessful. No one living knows the brother's name.
